Certificate of Competency (Radio)

GMDSS GENERAL OPERATORS CERTIFICATE (GOC)

Prior to making your application for a GMDSS General Operators Certificate you should ensure that;

• You have registered as a Seafarer and your seafarer profile details are up to date and include a recent photograph and signature
• You have successfully completed the training required for a GOC
• Completed and attached the Declaration Form issued by the Course Provider and emailed to DeclarationForm@transport.gov.ie 

GMDSS RESTRICTED OPERATORS CERTIFICATE (ROC)

Prior to making your application for a GMDSS Restricted Operators Certificate you should ensure that;

• You have registered as a Seafarer and your seafarer profile details are up to date and include a recent photograph and signature
• You have successfully completed the training required for a ROC
• Completed and attached the Declaration Form issued by the Course Provider and emailed to DeclarationForm@transport.gov.ie 

LONG RANGE OPERATORS CERTIFICATE (LRC)

Prior to making your application for a Long Range Operators Certificate you should ensure that;

• You have registered as a Seafarer and your seafarer profile details are up to date and include a recent photograph and signature
• You have successfully completed the training required for a LRC
• Completed and attached the Declaration Form issued by the Course Provider and emailed to DeclarationForm@transport.gov.ie  

When we verify that you have satisfied all the requirements, we will reach out and process payment for the LRC certificate which will be issued to you.

SHORT RANGE OPERATORS CERTIFICATE (SRC)

Prior to making your application for a Short Range Operators Certificate you should ensure that;

• You have registered as a Seafarer and your seafarer profile details are up to date and include a recent photograph and signature
• You have successfully completed the training required for a SRC
• Completed and attached the Declaration Form issued by the Course Provider and emailed to DeclarationForm@transport.gov.ie 

When we verify that you have satisfied all the requirements, we will reach out and process payment for the SRC certificate which will be issued to you.

A Certificate of Competency (Radio) is issued by the Department of Transport to candidates that have successfully completed a training course for the certificate that they are applying for.  Training for Certificates of Competency (Radio) is provided by a number of approved training centres.
